what's the Big Deal?

We've been doing this for YEARS

Reading a new issue of one of the carpet cleaning trade magazines, there was an article on 'Green Cleaning" that I found interesting.

The author defines "Green Cleaning" as "cleaning effectively while protecting health and avoiding any harm to the enviroment". When I started in business, in 1979, a "Green Carpet Cleaner" was someone who didn't know what they were doing, a novice, a newcomer, a ROOKIE to the cleaning industry. By the defintion of the writer of the magazine article, however, I've been a "Green Cleaner" since 1983 when we switched to Bane-Clene® equipment and cleaning agents in our business. I'm shocked that just NOW other cleaners are making a big deal about "cleaning green".........you mean they HAVEN'T been protecting health and avoiding harm to the enviroment all these years??

If you ask me, this new "cleaning green" movement is motivated NOT by a desire for so-called Green Cleaning but by the urge to earn more green stuff. At "All-Out Carpet Cleaners", we've been doing it ("Green Cleaning") for 27 years because we recognize it as being the RIGHT thing to do....long before the RIGHT thing became the "IN" thing.

Most often we use TRUCK-MOUNTED EQUIPMENT (see previous posts) but we have other PORTABLE equipment at our disposal, when necessary.

Yesterday we did day 2 of a three day job cleaning stairs in GARDEN APARTMENTS. There are 36 different entryways and NO ELECTRICAL OUTLETS in each hall, so we use a battery-sized GENERATOR and our suitcase-sized EXTRACTOR to do this one job. (Note: the Generator was not running when we took the photo. It is kept MUCH farther away from the doorway when it's on, for safety purposes!!)
